The V.A.G 1655A is required for testing and adjusting the switching point on the throttle valve module (mono-Jetronic injection engines). The adapter reduces the 12 V vehicle voltage to 6 V. At this voltage the plunger of the throttle valve adapter can be moved slowly into the test position.
